And suddenly it's March 2026 😱

 Oh my God

         oh my God

                    oh my God.

Time surely doesn't wait and here I am, in my 4th year of being a PhD student!

As expected (and not really well-anticipated), I have been extremely busy with thesis writing and some other projects.

  • In progress: writing the Findings and Discussion chapters. This is taking me forrreverrrr. 😩
  • Done: Published two book reviews in great journals in my field, and one of my research articles has been accepted by Babel journal! Woohoo! Head to the Research Output page for more details!
  • To be done: applying a couple of grants because I have been invited to be a visiting scholar this July by CETRA KU Leuven!

I should have written about CETRA Summer School but to keep it short, saying that the summer school amazing is an understatement. Trust me, although it was held online, I found that the tutorials and lectures were all helpful. I definitely will write some names in the acknowledgement section in my thesis. THANK YOU!

And coincidentally, just last night I read a wonderful article by Daniel Gile, a former CETRA chair professor. This article made me even more certain about the path I want to take after I graduate.

On an unrelated note, do you know that I started writing blog on blog.com when I was 17? Looking back, I was really young, almost graduating from high school, sitting in front of a big fat monitor inside an internet cafe near my high school. I was terrified about the future but excited, nonetheless.

Reading this article here in Perth (and I’m still young!), brings a sense of nostalgia. I, too, am brimming with anticipation for the future.

Some things never change, at all.
